Kenya - Gilgal Secondary School

Kenya - Gilgal Secondary School

In 2008, Gilgal Secondary School was founded with the purpose of providing an education to orphans and vulnerable children. Gilgal means “God has rolled away my shame.” Many Kenyan children who are unable to attend school feel ashamed and have a sense of hopelessness about their future.

Gilgal School has provided HOPE for the many children who have become our students. Because of the support of donors, the school does not turn away students who are unable to pay their school fees. We have seen many children who struggled in life become very important and competent members of their villages and families.

Academically, Gilgal is one of the best schools in the region. Every year, Gilgal students go on to study in university, a feat not accomplished by many government schools in Kenya. Our school ranks among the top 10 best schools in our region, which has more than 1,000 schools.

Gilgal alumni work in a wide range of career fields including teaching, medicine, computer technology, building and construction, engineering, catering/hospitality and nursing.

We are most thankful for e=h donors who support Gilgal School through generous donations.
