Ecuador - JD Cortez

Hey family! I wanted to share a bit about what I’ve been up to here in Ecuador. I’ve been serving with Quito House of Prayer (QHOP)—a place dedicated to worship, prayer, and seeing people encounter Jesus. QHOP is all about creating a space where anyone can come and spend time with God, whether for five minutes or five hours. It’s been amazing to be part of a community that’s hungry for His presence and passionate about seeing transformation in our city and beyond.

My role here includes helping lead worship and prayer sets, mentoring some of the local youth, and supporting QHOP’s media and outreach efforts. I also get to help with events and serve behind the scenes however I can. It’s been such a privilege to use my gifts in a place that feels like both ministry and family. Every day is different, but the heart behind it all stays the same—making space for God to move.

As I continue this journey, I’m also raising support to stay in this ministry full-time.
