Emaús is an Episcopal Church situated in a poor area of South Quito. Most of the parishioners live in the area, although some travel up to two hours each way to be a part of the church. It is a small church but the congregation is active and growing. They are focused on education and growth, through the active participation of young people and children in the church. The life of each young person in the scholarship program is a testimony, and they continue to impact the lives of those who are just beginning to be involved in the program.

They dream that the students who are a part of the scholarship program can achieve their educational goals. They also hope that when students have finished school they can continue serving in the church, not out of obligation, but because God is moving in each one of their hearts. This will enable their community to continue to grow.
