Hope 2 Others Water Filters

Did you know that at least 2.2 billion people rely on water supplies that are unsafe, putting them at risk of contracting cholera, dysentery, typhoid and polio? (UNWATER 2021) (UNICEF WASH)

Education Equals Hope’s students in Kenya, Madagascar and Ecuador are a part of this 2.2 billion.

Since piloting our water filter distribution and training in Kitale, Kenya, the communities in which we serve have received over 1,500 filters. We have also expanded our Hope 2 Others water filter initiative to include five schools in Madagascar and a community in Ecuador.

We have made great progress, as we now have distributed more than 1,800 filters! Our desire is to provide a Hope 2 Others (H2O) filter to each of our students, their families and the community in which they live.

YOU CAN HELP US CHANGE LIVES!
You can share a cup of clean water and education with a student every month for $50. Your first month’s donation will cover the cost of the filter, a new bucket to hold the clean water, shipping, customs, taxes, etc.*

Each additional month’s donation will help remove other barriers to education – such as transportation, uniforms, school supplies, tutoring & books, tuition assistance & teacher salaries – for our students. Education truly is the best means for escaping the vicious cycle of poverty.

*Each student’s Hope 2 Others filter can clean up to 150 gallons of water per day and could potentially last up to 10 years. However, our plan is to replace the filters every three years because of the extreme uncleanliness of the water where our students live.
